Saturday saw 24 young cyclists from the Go-Ride club take on cyclo cross races at Robert Bloomfield Middle School. The races which consisted of a time trial and a bunch race were both taken on at a fast and furious pace. Annabelle Foxall once again impressed by beating all the boys in the U10 bunch race, and Josh Rayner showing his tactical awareness with a strong finish in the U14s race.
Club captain Mark Cook kept up his winning ways, taking his 4th straight win in the SPOCO time trial competition, this week over a 16 mile course, his time was a 2 minute improvement over the same course last year. Emma Wiesblatt was first lady, and winner of the handicap competition was Phil Bierton.
Over at Emberton Country Park Sarah Janes finished third lady in the Big Cow Duathlon over the 5k run, 20k bike, 5k run course. Father and son pairing Gary and Jason Moore also took on the race, with son Jason coming out on top finishing 8th overall, and Gary coming home in 31st.
