Don't spend your time indoors working out in a stuffy sweatbox - get out in
the fresh air with us and and do it for real!
From 7 October 2010, join us on your mountain bike (or similar eg cyclo
cross) for some group rides along route 51 and around Priory Marina. The
idea is to improve bike handling and fitness, whilst riding at various
speeds and resistance levels across a variety terrain, with the added bonus
of being with friends.
We will meet at 7:00pm at Bedford Athletic Track where parking is
available. This is on Barkers lane.
Please wear a helmet, bring lights, and if possible wear reflective
nightwear for your own safety.
Rides will last around 90 minutes. All abilities are welcome (the ride is
planned to allow for different abilities and not leave anyone behind, a
longer vs shorter option and reduced repetitions on hill climbs and sprints
will be encouraged) - if you run late you can join us as we pass by Priory
Marina at around 7:30pm.
Any MTB or cyclo cross bike will do, most of the terrain will be grass,
gravel and tarmac - with occasional mud.
Information on weekend rides will shortly be posted soon on the website,
and in the club magazine.
These club rides are open to all. We ask that you ride within the club
etiquette, and respect the safety of other riders whilst doing so. See http://bedsroad.org/clubrides.php
