Go Ride Cyclo-Cross race*
Beds Road CC will be hosting a Go Ride Cyclo-cross Race on the 16th October
2010. Go Ride races are aimed at introducing novice young riders to racing.
The race is open to any novice* under 16 (on 1st Jan 2010), you don't need
to be in a club, you don't need a BC racing licence.
The event is at Robert Bloomfield Middle School, Shefford, Beds SG17 5BU.
Registration is from 9.00, racing starts at 10:00 on Saturday 16th Oct.
There are 5 age categories U16, U14, U12, U10, U8 (ages are based on the
1st Jan so if you where 15 years old on 1st Jan 2010 you are U16 for all of
2010). Novice riders are riders that have no points on their current British
Cycling license.
The course is on grass and includes a small bank that some may need to
dismount to get up.
To race you need;
A bike - in good working order, 2 brakes, no exposed handlebar ends.
A helmet.
£2 entry fee.
You DO NOT need a British Cycling license.
You DO NOT need to be a member of a cycling club.
* A novice is a rider under 16 on 1st Jan 2010 that hasn't scored points in
British Cycling races (not including "Go Ride" races).
Each rider will get 2 races, prizes will be awarded for the combined result
of the two races. See poster.

of birth of the rider. Payment is £2 per rider paid on the day.
