Last Sunday saw the annual running of the BRCC Charity 25 on course F1/25B and despite blustery conditions on the northward leg, a field of over sixty riders turned in some excellent performances. Overall winner was Matt Bottrill (pictured) of I-ride in a time of 50.52 with Marina Bloom of Born to Bike claiming the ladies' prize in a time of 1.05.38. The accolade of first BRCC rider went to Mark Cook in 56.56 and a concerted effort by the family Clarke (plus friend) of Team MK led to their gaining the team prize. Perhaps more importantly, over £394 was raised for the Sue Ryder Home, Moggerhanger by a combination of entry fees and Lorna's sterling efforts in the kitchen selling beverages and cake. Many thanks must go to Mike Bannister who took over running of the event at short notice and everyone else who gave up their Sunday lie-in for the provision of marshalling or other organisational roles.
